Common fixes

When does the new word arrive?

At midnight, your time. The reminder only nudges you to look at it, at the time you chose in setup. You can move it in Settings under Reminder.

How do I hide the vowel marks or the English spelling?

Open Settings in DailyHebrew and turn off "Show vowel marks" or "Show English spelling" under Reading. Israelis write without vowel marks, so turning them off is how you practice reading signs and messages. The widget and the reminder follow the same switches.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget and search for DailyHebrew. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold it, tap Customize, then Lock Screen. Today in the app has a "Show me how" button with the same steps.

The reminder doesn't arrive

Check that "Daily reminder" is on in Settings under Reminder. If notifications are turned off for DailyHebrew in the iPhone's Settings app, DailyHebrew shows an "Open notification settings" button that takes you there.

Listen makes no sound

DailyHebrew speaks with the Hebrew voice built into iOS. Check the volume first. If it is still silent, open the iPhone's Settings app, go to Accessibility, Spoken Content, Voices and download a Hebrew voice.

Why are older words locked?

The last 7 days of words are always free. DailyHebrew Premium opens every word you have learned before that, review across all of them and the rest of each phrase pack. If you bought Premium on another iPhone with the same Apple Account, tap "Restore purchases" in Settings.

Canceling

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select DailyHebrew Premium to manage or cancel it. When it ends you keep your review history, today's word, the widget and the last 7 days. Older words and full review close until you subscribe again. A lifetime purchase never ends.
